Applications are invited for the post of Senior Designer in the Directorate of Marketing and Communications. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Holloway creative team as we work towards our RH2030s strategy and expand our capabilities as a team. Reporting to the Creative Operations Manager, the Senior Designer plays a key role in a small team of specialists providing creative design support for a wide range of projects across the digital and print spectrum, including key publications and marketing materials, crucial to the promotion and reputation of Royal Holloway.

The Senior Designer will be a qualified, experienced graphic designer used to working across digital and print media. You’ll need to demonstrate a track record of working creatively, collaboratively and within brand guidelines, maintaining high standards, and meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will show initiative, enthusiasm and creative flair, as well as being a team player. 

The University has adopted hybrid working for this role. The successful applicant must demonstrate a disciplined, organised, open, and structured approach to their work, with the ability to communicate effectively with the team in a hybrid setting. 

Applicants must have extensive experience of the Adobe creative suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. A good working knowledge of Microsoft productivity software (especially the 365 suite) is also desirable. An understanding of animation and motion graphics, including Adobe After Effects experience, would be desirable.
