The role is a pivotal role in helping to deliver excellent customer service to all students and staff within the faculty.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The role holder will deliver key business service activities such as finance administration, HR administration, office management and event logistics. The role will also be responsible for supporting a team of Professional Service colleagues, helping to train and share good practices across the different business areas, and will act as a key point of contact to resolve business services queries from academic staff. The role holder will operate effectively within the University policies and external legislation in particular relating to Finance, HR, Data Protection and Freedom of Information.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the team, who has excellent communication and organisational skills, a pro-active mindset, good at problem-solving and excels at being a team player. Role holders will be expected to demonstrate our University values - being Daring, Innovative, Open and Respectful &ndash; in their work and be a champion of equality, diversity and inclusion.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">As a specialist tutor you will provide one to one assistance to students with mental health conditions and/or autistic spectrum conditions who have Disabled Students&rsquo; Allowance (DSA) funding. You will assist students in developing strategies to overcome any barriers to their learning. The post holder will be required to meet the DSA mandatory qualifications for this role which are detailed in the job description. As per current DSA guidance, students are offered the option of online (MS Teams) or face to face support.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">With advice from the Disability &amp; Neurodiversity team, the Specialist Mentor will help these students manage the effect of their disability issues on their studies and on their experience as Royal Holloway students.
