            <p>Applications are invited for the role of Impact Evidence Coordinator in the Department of Research and Innovation.&nbsp;</p><p>We are seeking highly motivated individuals with excellent communication, analytical and evaluation skills to support academics to identify, capture and evidence the impact of their research.&nbsp;</p><p>This is essential work to support the University to prepare high-quality Impact Case Studies for the Research Excellence Framework 2029 (REF) - the UK&#39;s system for assessing the excellence of research in UK higher education institutions. Impact is defined by REF as &ldquo;an effect on, change, or benefit to the economy, society, culture, public policy or services, health, the environment, or quality of life, occurring beyond academia&rdquo;.&nbsp;</p><p>We are looking for people with a passion for academic research, and an ability to understand, interpret and adhere to the REF submission guidelines. The successful candidates will be educated to at least degree level and have experience of working within an information gathering or research role. Knowledge of REF is desirable but not essential.&nbsp;</p><p>We are recruiting Impact Evidence Coordinators to cover broad disciplinary areas, in line with the REF panels:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Panel A: Medicine, Health and Life Sciences</li><li>Panel B: Physical Sciences, Engineering and Mathematics</li><li>Panel C: Social Sciences</li><li>Panel D: Arts and Humanities</li></ul><p>Applicants may indicate their preference at application stage and should have a genuine interest in the research areas, along with broad familiarity with the disciplines, methods and typical routes to impact.&nbsp;</p><p>This post is available on a casual basis between May and July.
