Applications are invited for the post of Student Administration Assistant (Postgraduate Research and Non-standard Programmes)

This is a fixed-term post until 31 July 2019.

Student Administration is responsible for all central administrative functions involved in the student lifecycle, including Enrolment, Academic Timetabling, Examinations, Graduation Ceremonies and Research Degree Administration; it also contains the Student Services Centre, which provides a central point of contact for students.

The Student Administration Assistant (Postgraduate Research (PGR) & Non-standard Programmes) will support the administration of a variety of non-standard programmes.They will also take lead responsibility in the administration of the Masters by Research degrees examination process and the appointment and payment of PGR examiners.  The role involves the methodical and accurate entry of data and excellent attention to detail when handling exam documentation.  

Candidates for this post should have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and should enjoy managing a number of tasks at the same time.   In addition, candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service via email, phone and the Doctoral School microsite to students, departmental administrators, examiners and academic staff. They should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to working in Higher Education administration.
