Fixed Term, Casual Position (minimum of 5 hours per week for 38 weeks)

Applications are invited for the post of Hall Life Duty Officer in the Academic Services Directorate.

Working with the Hall Life Manager to coordinate a team of Hall Life Assistants to provide a friendly and professional peer-to-peer support service to students living in Royal Holloway Halls Accommodation to help foster a positive community promoting good behaviour and support available to students.

Liaising with the Hall Life and other college services the smooth delivery of the Hall Life out of hours support provision for students living in Royal Holloway Accommodation by empowering  students living in hall to settle into hall life, their transition and aiding them through positive interventions, campaigns and events to help students living in halls to live independently, foster belonging and to offer peer to peer guidance and support so that students living in hall can focus on their academic studies.

This exciting post requires you to live on site and be part of an exciting team where you will develop your leadership, problem solving, and management and communication skills.

Interview Date: 29 February 09:00 – 16:00 (Assessment Centre: group exercise followed by an interview. 

Please note that there is mandatory training 14 – 20 September 2020 which you must attend.

Please note that it will not be possible for the College to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for successful candidates as this role does not fall into one of the standard occupational codes deemed eligible for sponsorship by UK Visas and Immigration. Successful candidates will therefore need to be eligible to work in the UK or have limited leave to remain in the UK and associated right to work for the duration of their employment with the College, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
