The Role:
The CoSTAR National Lab Pilots and Prototypes Programme Coordinator plays a very important organisational and administrative role within the team. You will have administrative responsibility, working with senior leadership, PPP team members, and the CoSTAR Head of Delivery. You will work in a creative, inclusive, and dynamic environment where you will administer systems and processes to support the delivery of a national piloting and prototyping programme, working with research partners and companies at the leading edge of the Creative Industries. This role will require excellent people, project, organisational, and event coordination skills, and you will need to be agile, responsive, and creative in your approach to delivery.
About the National R&D Lab:
The CoSTAR National Lab for R&D in Creative Technologies is the largest ever investment in creative industries R&D in UK history: a £51.1m programme led by Royal Holloway, University of London to develop a National R&D Lab to ensure the UK’s screen and performance industries have the innovation, infrastructure, skills, and expertise needed to compete globally. Our Lab will include dedicated Stage and Studio space, featuring advanced creative computing technologies including AI, virtual production, and 5G systems. Our consortium brings together world-leading research teams from media production, psychology, business, and drama at Royal Holloway, AI at University of Surrey, and Creative Technology at Abertay University; and professional training at the National Film & Television School. The CoSTAR National R&D Lab has unparalleled UK reach, with over 5,000 UK companies already connected to StoryFutures founding partnership.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide administrative support for PPP activities, including coordinating and delivering workshops and networking events online and in person, along with the associated logistics.
- Act as the key liaison point between applicants, external delivery teams, and the PPP Team, as well as between internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate external contractors, assessors, and industry experts, including contracts, invoices, and payments.
- Coordinate the application process for programme applicants.
- Assist the PPP team and the Head of Delivery to ensure the collection of necessary data for reporting purposes and that it is compatible with the CoSTAR teams’ workflows and activities.
- Provide support to CoSTAR communications activities as requested, including contributing to communications work at events.

This is a full-time, permanent role available from March 2025. This post is based in Egham, Surrey, but with the expectation of significant working time at the CoSTAR National Lab which is being built in the region.
