Salary:  £35,333 per annum - including London Allowance
This is the expected starting salary for this post however appointment at a higher point may be made for candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role.

The role of Senior Managed Desktop Administrator takes the lead on a number of duties ensuring the managed desktop environment delivers successfully to the Student and Academic populations as well as Professional Services Departments.

Working closely with the Systems team and wider IT Service department you be responsible for the development and maintenance of efficient services using deployment tools including SCCM, MDT and APP-V in line with the Service Delivery strategy. This will include the management of a number of server based resources for the installation and maintenance of software and devices across the managed estate.

The successful Senior Managed Desktop Administrator will have significant experience in an IT support role specialising in remote administration and software distribution tools with proven track record for implementing automation. You will also have:

* Advanced knowledge of SCCM (current branch)

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Application Virtualisation

* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Desktop OS and relevant technologies, AD, group policy and PowerShell

* Advanced knowledge of desktop & laptop hardware platforms and software applications

* Drive to succeed and deliver
