This is an exciting opportunity for energetic individual to join the Health and Safety Office in a role supporting fire safety and health and safety compliance. These systems are what keep our people safe and you will form a vital part of ensuring health and safety in the College. 

Working within a small compliance team, you will be testing fire alarm systems, conducting fire drills, inspecting fire extinguishers, and conducting health and safety workarounds. This is a physical job working around our Campus with some desk work included. There will be opportunities for broader health and safety tasks and an interest in completing training and developing in this area is an advantage. 

You will be educated to at least GCSE level, including mathematics and English, and preferably will have some form of health and safety or fire safety qualification; although a positive attitude and work ethos is more important than specific qualifications. You will need to be able to work independently and be able to use hand tools competently to carry out basic maintenance tasks. You must be computer literate and able to produce reports summarising key information.
