Applications are invited for the post of Development Manager (Major Gifts) within the External Relationships group, part of the university’s directorate of Marketing and Communications. 

This position is available due to maternity leave and joins the team at an exciting time. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing the relationships with those capable of making significant financial gifts (£5,000+) to Royal Holloway, working on a portfolio of projects which meet the university’s strategic priorities and to effectively steward relationships with existing major donors.

You will have a proven track record of fundraising or equivalent experience of generating income and meeting targets with a wide understanding of philanthropy and why people give. The successful candidate will be a results driven, strategic thinker with the ability to build and nurture transformative internal and external relationships. You will be a strong written and verbal communicator and passionate about your work and the difference higher education can make.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated and within commuting distance from London.

This is a fixed term post to cover a period of maternity leave until April 2021. This appointment could end earlier than expected should the substantive post-holder return to work early.
