Royal Holloway, University of London, is currently developing a new Arts and Culture Framework through which to explore, share and express the University’s co-produced values (to be daring, innovative, open, and respectful) as a University of Social Purpose. As part of this process, we are organising a Pilot Summer Arts Festival to take place c. 6 May-6 June 2025. This Festival will bring together creative, artistic and partnership activities from across the University for audiences of students, staff and wider communities.

The University is therefore seeking a dynamic Associate Producer, to be located in the School of Performing and Digital Arts, to support its upcoming pilot Summer Arts Festival. The role holder will be a keen arts advocate, committed to equity, diversity and inclusion, and able to connect with a range of different internal and external groups and share the narrative of artistic and cultural value and excellence through promotional material across a range of platforms – face to face, print copy, web presence and social media.

You will have experience of producing theatre and/or event organisation/management, a strong eye for detail and be able to work independently to ensure that artists and visitors to campus have the resources needed. You will be responsible for setting up and monitoring booking pages for individual events, supporting front of house, monitoring the participants in projects and seeking their feedback. During the Festival, you will be responsible for documenting events via video and photography. At the end of the project, you will archive the documentary material, and write a brief evaluation report identifying key learnings to enable us to build on this project in future.

The role will commence immediately upon appointment, fixed until mid-June 2025, and capped at 165 hours in total (that is, approximately 2 days per week on average for 12 weeks).

In return we offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Training and Development opportunities
  • Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution
  • Various schemes including Cycle to Work, Season Ticket Loans and help with the cost of Eyesight testing.
