Salary in range of £41,526 - £49,553 per annum. London Allowance of £2,134 will be payable in addition to salary.

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Systems and Database Administrator in the IT Services Department.

The IT Services Department is committed to the continual improvement of the technologies and services which underpin just about every aspect of College life. We are committed to ensuring that technology is working hard to support innovative and agenda-setting research, to deliver unparalleled learning experiences to students and support seamless and efficient College operations. To do this effectively IT Services is seeking committed and engaging staff that can work in partnership with the academic and professional departments to understand their needs and deliver technology solutions.

Working within the wider Service Delivery team of IT services, the role of Senior Systems and Database Administrator, is part of a small team responsible for the day to day administration of the College’s IT Systems infrastructure including; Windows Server, SQL Server, local and Azure Active Directory, the M365 stack, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, NetApp, VMWare, Hyper-V, HP Blades and 3Par storage, and Veeam. The post holder will also work on delivering the day to day incident and request response service as well as consultancy on projects, providing both design and build expertise during a project lifecycle.

The post-holder will work alongside Colleagues within IT Service Delivery and Enterprise Applications to ensure the delivery of a premier class IT service to students and staff at the University.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London, however the current situation requires that where possible duties are completed from home.
