Applications are invited for the post of Student Engagement Assistant in the Department of Student Engagement & Sport in the Student & Academic Services Directorate.

We encourage students who have previously volunteered as a Peer Guide to apply for this paid position.

This is an exciting opportunity for current students to join the Student Engagement & Sport department and support the expansion of the College’s Peer Guidance scheme across our six Schools.

As a Student Engagement Assistant, you will assist the Peer Guidance team directly with the administration of the scheme, including the allocation of new students to a ‘Peer Guide’, a volunteer mentor, in small groups. You will be actively engaged in and enthusiastic about student life at Royal Holloway and be motivated to support new students’ transition into Higher Education. An excellent communicator, the post holder will be proactive, friendly and knowledgeable about Royal Holloway, with good organisational skills.    

This is a fixed-term, casual post, starting from August 2021. We anticipate the role to work a total of 50 hours, which can be allocated flexibly over the summer and into the first term of the academic year.
