Applications are invited for the post of SEPnet Senior Officer (Employer Engagement) in the Department of Physics at RHUL. The post holder will be responsible for a variety of activities related to Employer Engagement for the Department of Physics with a focus on improving graduate outcomes for students.
Key tasks will include building relationships with local employer bodies and employers, organising and managing placements for UG and PGR students, sourcing host employers and facilitating knowledge exchange opportunities. The post holder will work with academics to help deliver and enhance embedded activities relating to professional employability skills development as part of the undergraduate degree programmes.
Royal Holloway is a member of the South East Physics Network (SEPnet), which is a consortium of nine University Physics Departments working together to raise the profile of Physics in the South East of England. While based at RHUL, the officer will work closely with colleagues at other SEPnet partner universities.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level and have previous experience of employer engagement. They will be proactive and outgoing and must have strong communication and project management skills.
This is a part time post working up to 50% FTE, available immediately for a fixed term of 3 years with the possibility of renewal. This post is based in Egham, Surrey, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
