We are very pleased to announce the availability of two part-time lecturer posts on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.  

The posts are relatively unique in offering candidates the opportunity to work across academic, research and clinical aspects of the Programme, including supervising doctoral and masters level research in a clinical area of their choice.  Each post-holder will also take on responsibility for a particular aspect of the Programme, for example, organizing aspects of the curriculum, placement management, or selection.   

This is a really exciting time for clinical psychology, with a substantial expansion of training, and the posts offer an opportunity for those appointed to develop the Programme in line with current and future NHS priorities.   Those appointed will join a friendly, close-knit team of 12 academic staff and three administrative staff who are committed to training high quality clinical psychologists to meet the psychological needs of the population.  In addition, the DClinPsy is an integral part of a vibrant Psychology Department, which ranks among the top 10 psychology departments for research in the country. The posts are designated as lectureships within the professional practice pathway, which recognises and rewards the applied nature of the work of clinical psychology.   The appointees will have the opportunity to develop their interests in applied areas of clinical psychology. Applicants should have a first degree in psychology, or a recognized conversion qualification, a doctorate in clinical psychology, and some experience of the NHS.
