Applications are invited for the post of Technology Enabled Learning (TEL) Manager in the Department of IT Services.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, organised, and creative TEL Manager to join the Research, Teaching and Learning Applications team to support HyFlex developments and delivery in our online teaching, learning, and assessment spaces. Technology enabled learning is a rapid area of change at Royal Holloway, and the person fulfilling this role will be a critical part of the team in driving cutting-edge innovation and effective change to improve current services and onboard new TEL technologies.

The post holder will be an experienced learning technologist or TEL IT specialist, a senior subject matter expert (SME) in edtech, and play a key role in the pedagogically-informed adoption and embedding of TEL to meet the requirements of the College’s transformative vision for teaching and learning. The TEL ecosystem comprises core technologies—such as the latest version of Moodle, Turnitin, Panopto, and MS Teams—in addition to multiple 3rd party apps. In this role, you will be instrumental to the annual expansion of our TEL portfolio based on the requirements of the College.

The post holder will be a proactive team player with strong interpersonal and organisational skills; a creative, problem-solving mind-set; and passion for technology enabled learning.  You will work with the Head of Research, Teaching, and Learning Applications, the E-Learning Team, and E-Learning School Leads and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  This senior role within the RTL Team will involve keeping up to date with industry developments, leading on IT projects, co-ordinating stakeholders, liaising with vendors, and working in close collaboration with staff in Schools and Professional Services on cross-college activities to support teaching, learning, and assessment.  

This role will suit a dynamic individual with proven IT operations management and project lead experience in College-wide TEL change management.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.  The university has adopted hybrid working for some roles; therefore, some remote working will be possible for this role.
