Applications are invited for the post of Recruitment & Scholarships Officer in the Doctoral School.

Academic Administration at Royal Holloway is organised into six School Administration teams and a Doctoral School, which are all part of the Student & Academic Services directorate; a single professional service which supports the student journey. Administration teams have been designed to provide a consistent and effective service to both students and staff.

The Doctoral School Recruitment & Scholarships Officer role will be responsible for a variety of tasks and processes to support the recruitment of research students, timely administration of studentship nominations, and financial processes for the Doctoral School.  You will be expected to contribute to the Doctoral School’s vision and service standards and work closely with colleagues across the College to help ensure that a well-co-ordinated service is provided to research degree students and staff.

The role will require superb organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.  We are looking for someone who has an aptitude for problem-solving, plus excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.  The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently under their own initiative, as well as part of a small team of colleagues.

You will have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.  You will need to be proficient in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, with a particular ability to perform basic functions and data manipulation within Microsoft Excel

The College has adopted hybrid working for some roles and so remote working is possible for this role, with attendance on campus at least twice a month. The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
