Applications are invited for the post of Building Manager in the Estates Department
The Estates department is in the process of developing the University’s historic estate to provide a 21st century campus and user experience that meets the increasingly contemporary needs of the people studying, working, and visiting here.
The role holder will work closely with the other teams within the Estates Department and the Health and Safety Office to ensure that non-residential buildings are a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for all building users.
We require a self-motivated, proactive and organised individual with excellent communication skills who is able to build effective relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing buildings with a strong knowledge of H&S compliance requirements. They will also have experience of conducting building audits and managing contracted services.
This role will also be part of the Estates on call Duty Manager rota providing out of hours advice when necessary.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey however there may be occasions when the role holder will provide cover for the Building Manager based in the London Campus at Bedford Square.
