Applications are invited for the Career Development Postdoctoral Fellow in English and/or American Literature in the English Department
The department of English at Royal Holloway, University of London, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow. There are no restrictions on the research the postholder will carry out as part of their postdoctoral career, beyond the stipulation that it be on literature. The focus of the fellowship will be research, but successful applicants will also contribute to teaching relevant undergraduate and MA modules (no more than 4-6 hours a week) and advance the interests of the English department with respect to the wider scholarly community and the general public. The post is fixed-term for a period of 9 months, starting 1 November 2024. The post comes with a research allowance of £2,000, which must be spent before the end of July 2025
The successful applicant will have a PhD, and a post-doctoral research programme.
