An opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join our small, friendly, and supportive team of technical support analysts, within the wider IT Team responsible for Service Desk, Desktop Support, Networking, Telecommunications, Server Infrastructure, and development. 

You will be working with a wide variety and type of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) enterprise systems, predominantly supporting the Professional Services staff of the College.

There and many aspects to this role, in addition to a solid technical background, personal attributes will include a sense of ownership and a strong customer facing service character. 

  • Triaging, diagnosing and managing incident and request tickets using effective ticket management practices
  • Liaising with Third party Vendors and escalating incidents as appropriate
  • Managing third party bug fixes and upgrade plans 
  • Supporting improvement initiatives involving business applications
  • Aiding in the strategy for tactical and maintenance activities
  • Providing guidance, coordination, and support of business processes that use one or many applications or application services
  • Liaising with other IT teams in support of applications maintenance and development activities.

You will be working closely with Business Service Owners, SMEs, Third Party support partners, so clear spoken and written English language is essential.  

Experience with various types of system integration, including programming APIs would be highly beneficial.  Applicants will need to demonstrate a logical and systematic approach to problem solving and will suit applicants with proven knowledge of MS SQL server, DB management and DB querying.
