Applications are invited for the post of Vice Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange, in the School of Humanities.

This is a senior leadership position and an opportunity working alongside other School Executive members to support the delivery of the School and College strategies. The Vice-Dean is responsible for leading the research and knowledge exchange portfolio across the School (and where appropriate across the College) and for encouraging, developing, and supporting high quality research, and knowledge exchange activities.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent leadership, planning and organisational, strategy development and implementation skills in an academic context. The Vice Dean position requires a successful academic track record demonstrated by promotion to Senior Lecturer or Professor. 

In return the post holder will receive an annual allowance of £6,000 per annum in addition to normal salary. The allowance operates as part of a College scheme. 

The post is based on the main campus in Egham. It is a fixed term appointment which will normally be for a period of up to three years with the possibility of renewal.
