*This is the expected starting salary for this post however appointment at a higher point may be made for candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role

Applications are invited for the post of Porter in the Estates Department. The Porter team comprises four members who work closely with the Estates Building Coordinators to deliver a wide variety of services across the University to provide a safe and tidy environment for students and staff. The main focus of the job comprises tasks across the Academic buildings but he team are also involved in works related to regular College events including Graduation ceremonies, Open days, Conferences, Formal dinners and other high profile College events.

The post holder must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and be committed to the delivery of a quality service. They must be able to work as part of a busy team, showing a flexible approach to their work duties and responsibilities. The applicant should possess a good level of education and have experience in carrying out manual handling and basic handyman tasks. A full, clean driving licence is essential.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus, near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. The basic hours of work are an 8-hour shift between the hours of 07.00 and 16.00, Monday to Friday, but applicants will need to be flexible regarding out of hours work when required.
