Part-Time- 17.5 hours, 18 months fixed term

Applications are invited for this 0.5 part-time post of Administrative Officer (Grade 5) in the Centre for the Development of Academic Skills (CeDAS), part of the Academic Services Directorate at Royal Holloway, University of London.

Royal Holloway is piloting a Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) scheme to improve engagement and academic success for first year students in two RHUL departments. The Administrative Officer (PASS) will work closely with the CeDAS Director of Peer Learning to ensure all phases of the scheme run smoothly and efficiently, from promotion and training to delivery and scheme evaluation. 

The position is initially a fixed-term 18-month contract, but this will change to a longer contract if the pilot is successful, and PASS is adopted across other departments.

Candidates should have excellent organisational and numerical skills with a good eye for detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure and to tight deadlines, is essential.   You will need to be able to communicate effectively with both staff and students and have excellent prioritization skills.  This role requires a commitment to a high-quality student experience and the flexibility to handle change. The role is particularly suited to those seeking to make a career as administrators in higher education.
