Applications are invited for the post of Vice-Dean for Education and Student Experience, in the School of Performing and Digital Arts.

It is intended that this role commences on 9 January 2023.

This is a senior leadership position and an opportunity to work alongside Executive Dean and other School Executive members to support the delivery of School and University strategies. The Vice-Dean is responsible for leading the education and student experience portfolio across the School (and where appropriate across the University) and for ensuring excellent outcomes and consistency in provision.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent leadership, planning and organisational, strategy development and implementation skills in an academic context. This Vice-Dean position requires a successful academic track record demonstrated by promotion to Senior Lecturer or Professor, as well as HEA Fellowship and a demonstrable commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. 

The post holder will receive an annual allowance of £6,000 per annum in addition to normal salary. The allowance operates as part of a University-wide scheme. 

The post is based on the main campus in Egham. It is a fixed term appointment which will normally be for a period of up to three years with the possibility of renewal.
