This is an excellent opportunity to join the volunteering team at an exciting phase of expansion.
The post holder will be the forefront of Royal Holloway Volunteering’s on campus presence, interacting with students in a frontline capacity in the volunteering hub. Additionally, the post holder will support Royal Holloway Volunteering’s communications, specifically managing the team’s social media presence and creating digital content to advertise volunteering activities and events.
Job Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience of volunteering either at home or at university.
- Experience of working in a public or customer facing role and answering queries.
- Experience of working collaboratively in a team.
- Confident use of MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of social media and online sharing platforms, e.g. X, Instagram Tik-Tok and Facebook.
- Create engaging digital content to advertise volunteering events and initiatives.

Normal Hours
Term time only (excluding study weeks). We require a commitment to work 9 hours per week to cover the opening times of the Volunteering Hub. Early evening work may occasionally be requested. Hours can be flexible around academic timetables and exam commitments, subject to prior agreement.
The post is fixed term until 4 April 2025 with the possibility of extension into Summer term.
