Bank accounts
The process of opening a bank account varies depending on which Bank/Building Society that you choose and the type of account you want. Internal/external transfer
Types of Account:
Basic Bank Account

Allows you to receive money and pay bills

Allows you a cash card for taking money out of a cash machine

Allows you to set up direct debits but may not allow standing orders

Does not allow you a cheque book or credit card

Does not give an overdraft or any credit facilities.
Current Account

Give you a cash card, debit card or credit card and a cheque book
-
Allows you an overdraft facility.
In most instances you will require proof of the following to open a bank account (the bank that you select will confirm what is required though:

Proof of identity

Proof of UK address

Proof of income.

We have an onsite bank Santander which is located in Founder's Building, Rooms East 045/047. At the bank you will be able to use the following services:
• Internal/external transfer
• Set up bill payments/ standing orders/ direct debits
• International payments
• Apply for current accounts, savings, credit cards, home insurance, mortgages, and loans
• Check/ print balances
• Statements for VISA purposes
• Review existing accounts
• Update customer details
• General queries
• Print customer statements
• Cheque deposit.
We also have onsite an ATM that is located outside of the Winsdor Building.
